About The Master:
Master Brian D. Manna is the Director of The Educational Martial Arts System, The Chief Instructor of United Tang Soo Do Karate and the founder of both. He began his long and distinguished career in the Martial Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, training under the instruction of Master K. Kwon and Master H. Kwon.
Master Manna moved to California and continued his training in San Diego in 1978. He opened his first school in the area by teaching at a local community center. In 1978 he opened the doors of the then National Headquarters located in Ranch Bernardo, California. In September 8,1994 he opened the new UTSDK Studio in Carmel Mtn. Ranch, California one of the largest studios in California. He has produced many outstanding students, black belts, instructors, and offers many special clinics, camps, and training programs for martial artists.
For Master Manna's support and dedication to the Martial Arts, he has received numerous awards of recognition. He has held special demonstrations and exhibitions for the community, sponsored many youth organizations, developed scholarship funds, instructional videos, and is featured in a nationwide book published by Franklin Watts, Inc. Along with his lifetime commitment to the martial arts, his goal is to conitinue to cultivate the mind, body, and spirit of all his students, members and the community.
